Booking Guidelines & Policies

Salty Sea Kitchen Private Chef Services

Thank you for considering Salty Sea Kitchen for your upcoming event. To ensure the highest level of service and the finest culinary experience, please review our booking procedures below:


1. Securing Your Date

  • Early Booking: To ensure availability, we recommend booking as early as possible. Premium holidays (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc.) often book out months in advance.
  • The Deposit: A non-refundable security deposit of 30%–50% is required to reserve your date. Please note that dates are not held until the deposit is received.
  • Inquiry Order: If multiple requests are made for the same date, priority is given to the first inquiry. We will reach out to confirm before moving to the next person in line.

2. Premium Ingredients & Pricing

  • Quality Commitment: I procure only the finest, highest-quality products available. Menu items marked with a (+$) reflect premium market costs for luxury ingredients.
  • Sales Tax: An 8.25% Texas Sales Tax is applied to all invoices.
  • Gratuity: A 20% gratuity is automatically added for parties of 8 or more. While not required for smaller groups, gratuity is always sincerely appreciated.

3. Payment Methods

  • No-Fee Options: Payments can be made via Venmo or Cash App.
  • Credit Card: Payments via Square are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.
  • Appropriate payment links will be provided upon booking.

4. Menu Selection & Final Invoicing

  • Booking Estimate: Upon receiving your deposit, I will send a general estimate for your approval.
  • Finalizing the Menu: We can refine your menu selections up until one week before the event. Once the menu is finalized, you will receive a final invoice.
  • Transparency: I will not purchase ingredients until you have approved the final invoice. This ensures there are no surprise fees and that we are fully aligned on the expected costs.

5. Guest Counts & Cancellations

  • Final Headcount: Please finalize your guest count at least 7 days prior to the event.
  • Adjustments: While we may be able to add guests (with Chef approval), we cannot subtract from the guest count within the 7-day window, as ingredients will have already been sourced and prep work initiated.
  • Refund Policy: Deposits are non-refundable; however, they may be applied toward a future event scheduled within two years.

6. The Day of the Event

  • Final Balance: The remaining balance is due the end of meal on your event day.
  • Our Goal: My mission is to provide a seamless, scratch-made gourmet meal so you can relax and enjoy a world-class dining experience with your favorite people.
